Each Day camp session will focus on skill development for young soccer players. Campers will learn soccer skills and techniques through exercises and games specifically designed for the young player. Campers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace under the careful guidance of the director and his expert staff. The emphasis is always on fun and learning.

Location

Day Camp I (June 8 - 12) will be held at West Campus Field on the UAB campus. Located at the corner of 9th Ave. South and 11th St. South (just off of I-65).

This camp will utilize UAB Soccer Fields, indoor swimming pool as well as a water slide.

Day Camp II (July July 6 - 10) will be held at the Jewish Community Center on Montclair Blvd. This camp will utilize outdoor fields, indoor gyms, and outdoor swimming pool. Campers have the opportunity to swim every day.

4:30 - 5:30 Late Pickup (provided for a minimal cost.)

The Staff

Coach Getman has worked hard to bring together his staff of college coaches, high school coaches as well as some of UAB's top players. Your skills and overall playing ability will advance with the experience & knowledge of our coaching staff. Our coaches are known for the quality of their teaching. Certified Athletic Trainers are on duty at all times to handle any medical needs. All activities are carefully supervised. Camper to staff ratio is approx. 8-1.

Facilities

The Mike Getman Soccer Camp provides an exceptional learning environment. Fine training facilities, nice grass fields, indoor gyms, and a pool at each location, all enhance the camp experience.

Cost

The camp fee is $215.00 per week. A reduced rate of $205.00 per camper is available to families enrolling more than one child or enrolling one child for more than one week. Campers can bring a ball from home or purchase a hand stitched Nike ball for $25.00. Campers will also bring their lunch from home each day. Call for information on team rates.

You may register on line. There is a $15 handling fee added when registering on line and you must pay the full fee at the time that you register.

Those who cannot attend camp for medical or other reasons will be refunded all but a $50 administrative fee. To receive a refund the camp office must be notified at least 72 hours before registration.
